1. How data is handled
Content you create or import in Tamalogy—including device profiles, journal records, photo entries, titles, descriptions, dates, tags, character labels, family-tree information, import and export records, and most preferences—is stored in the app’s local storage by default.
The current version has no account system, cloud sync, personalized advertising, or third-party analytics. The app does not upload your personal records to a developer server unless you deliberately perform an action such as importing, exporting, capturing a photo, saving to Photos, using the system share sheet, or opening an external link.
2. Permissions
You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Denying a permission may affect its related feature but does not prevent other local record features from working.
3. Photos and backup files
When you import or capture an image, the app copies the required image into its local directory for reliable display, thumbnail generation, and record organization.
When you export a backup, photo, or family-tree image, the file is written to the location or photo library you choose. When you select Share Image, a temporary image is passed to the system share sheet and sent only to the app you then choose.
Exported files may contain personal records, so store them carefully. If you delete the app without exporting a backup first, local data in the app container may not be recoverable.
4. Purchases and platform services
Full Version purchases, purchase-status verification, and restoring purchases are handled through the Apple App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not operate a separate payment server and does not receive your Apple Account password, full payment-card number, or other payment credentials.
Apple may process information needed to complete transactions under its platform rules, such as product identifiers, transaction status, storefront region, device information, and app version. Billing, refunds, and payment methods generally need to be handled through Apple’s official channels.
5. Third-party materials and external links
Some guides, reference pages, and the About page identify third-party sources so you can view the original material. Opening one of these links takes you out of the app to the relevant website.
Those third-party websites have their own privacy, copyright, and usage rules. Review their terms before visiting.
6. Your choices and data deletion
- You can delete devices, tags, photo records, and related local content in the app.
- You can withdraw Camera, Photos, or Local Network access in system settings.
- You can clear local data in the app container by deleting the app; confirm whether you need a backup before doing so.
- Purchase records and payment information are handled by the Apple App Store under its platform rules.
7. Policy updates
If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, additional third-party services, or another feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where necessary, the privacy information in App Store Connect.
